Recently,actor Ashwani Kumar, who left a different impression on the hearts of the audience through the character of Nasir Edenwala in the crime thriller “Bombay Meri Jaan” produced under the banner of Excel Entertainment, being aired on the OTT platform “Amazon Prime” Video, is in the news these days.

Ashwani Kumar signed her first web series “Bombay Meri Jaan” in the year 2019 and it is currently streaming on Amazon Prime. Ashwani Kumar is currently busy shooting an action thriller film.

Born in Gurgaon, Ashwani Kumar studied at D.A.V School and joined the Dramatics Club because he would not get any homework. According to him, he did not know in which direction the steps taken during his school days would lead to his destination. Ashwani Kumar says that he did not know that this would have such a big impact on my career and my life. He studied engineering and then worked in a famous telecom company for some time. But the actor in him was not letting him rest in peace and the same restlessness took him to the Indian Film and Television Institute, Pune from where he graduated. Here he learned the nuances of film and acting and during this time he also worked on many films. This was his proper introduction to the world of films. He counts this period as the best years of his life.

Ashwani Kumar tells that after graduating from FTII, he came to Mumbai in the year 2017 and started giving auditions from here and during this time he got his first Hindi film “Raid” (2018). Today he does not need any identity.”

Ashwani Kumar is very excited about his character of Nasir Edenwala in the crime thriller “Bombay Meri Jaan”. He says that this is my first wave series and I am happy that I got a chance to work with KK Menon, the most talented artist of Excel Entertainment. I have always admired his work and always wanted to work with him so this is a dream come true. The director of this series, Shujaat Saudagar, treated all of us like a family, due to which we actors acted brilliantly, the effect of which is visible in this series. He never told “how to act”. They trusted us and gave us complete freedom to do what we felt was right for the character and it really comes across in all the performances that we see in the show.

In this series, I play the character of a journalist Nasir Edenwala who is Dara’s best friend. Nasir, being a loyal friend, wants to help Dara in his own way by writing articles for him. He told that as per the demand of the story, he learned from body language to speech to realize the 70s time period and brought it to life on screen.
