The core of the session included the dissection of subjects we need to include in our higher secondary schooling. The session was conducted by Mr. Baiju  K Balan, Vice President,  Finovest group, who delivered his insight on career practices with the 10th standard students of Government Boys Higher Secondary School Trippunithura has brought forth an impact in analyzing a promising future to young buds.

“Throughout the times, our education systems have been customized in three categories, humanities, commerce, and science. From standard 1 to 10 we have been prepared for 10 years in our lifetime to achieve a basic knowledge in these three subjects. after the completion of the 10th standard, we have to choose between these subjects which need to abide by our passion or in the hope for the future. Mainly, we people will go after commerce in higher secondary to make a career in the financial sector in the chance of getting a B.COM, or BBA graduation,  or else we go for humanities to understand human nature by interacting with history and academics that also nurture arts. In terms of science subjects it is not only limited to graduation like physics, chemistry, or biology it also includes common subjects for taking a turn to all graduations which include the ones that the other two offer.

With science and commerce subjects infused with information technology, we can also put ourselves to the latest development of humankind, AI.

With this, we can have the pool opportunity in most of the sectors around the world.

A clear thought needs to be addressed for the future: take a stand with your passion or leverage your studies for a career in technology or commerce that promises a better value for life.

After post-graduation, many youngsters march towards careers in teaching or relevant fields, but various institutions offer higher employment opportunities. For instance, with a post-graduation in chemistry, you can become a chemical engineer, analytical chemist, or material scientist rather than an educator. If you admire sports, you can pursue a Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd), BBA in Sports Management, or BSc in Sports Science to achieve positions such as physical educator or sports analyst.

We need to encourage collective efforts in promoting agriculture by taking courses like Fisheries Science, BSc in Agriculture, or B.Tech in Agriculture and Dairy Technology. These fields can contribute to your career success while revitalizing the agricultural sector.

Everybody needs an aim for the future of their profession and its outcomes throughout their journey,” said Mr. Baiju K. Balan, Vice President of Finovest Group.
