Kolkata: City Poets Ipsita Ganguli and Piyanka Banerjee makes the City Proud by becoming winners in a massive global poetry competition hosted by Motivational Strips, the world’s most active writers forum.
The forum had conducted the “Be A Star Global Poetry Championship” in which poets from nearly 103 countries had participated with the number of entries being multiples of that. This competition was judged by a panel of poets from different parts of the world including The US, Europe, Far East and India
Both Priyanka Banerjee and Ipsita Ganguli had bagged the first and second place in Poetry rendition category and both won a full paid holiday trip to Oman for three days .
The results of the grand final was announced on Saturday by the former secretary of Sahitya Akademi and current President of Kerala Sahitya Akademi Dr K Satchidanandan along with RUPA Publications Calcutta Managing Partner Shri Raju Barman.
The founder of Motivational Strips Shiju H Pallithazheth applauded the impeccable talents of Priyanka and Ipsita while mentioning that Bengal has once again secured its crown in world poetry.
