- On the Etalin Hydro Project, Janata Party President Shree Navneet Chaturvedi will meet the Governor of Arunachal on 10th May
A Delegation of Environmental activists came to meet Shree Navneet Chaturvedi President of Janata Party on a courtesy call at Hotel Viceroy Chinar Park Kolkata on 1st May 2023. Several environmentalists and Activists for saving wildlife are these days expressing their concern about big hydropower projects ongoing in the Northeast States & Uttarakhand.
In the context of saving Arunachal, these activists are Demanding a Stay from NGT on the Etalin Hydropower of Dibbang Valley. As per their allegation due to this hydroelectric project, the wildlife of Dibbang Valley will be destroyed and the local villagers are happily living with these animals for decades, they have an emotional bond with these animals.
The delegation led by Mr. Truluku & Thinley Wangdi is approaching the NGT Eastern zone Bench to grant a stay on Etalin Hydro Power Ltd, this delegation submitted their representation to Janata Party Supremo in this meeting and they demanded to intervene Janata party into this matter.
Janata party President Shree Navneet Chaturvedi assured the delegation after hearing their grievances that they will put this issue in front of the Honourable Governor of Arunachal during his proposed visit on 9th May.
