  • Save Wildlife Save our forest, a campaign led by the local villagers of Arunachal seeks support from Janata Party President Sh. Navneet Chaturvedi

The state of the rising sun, Arunachal Pradesh, is very beautiful in nature. Every day, thousands of domestic tourists are typically drawn to mountains, waterfalls, rivers, wild animals, and forests. Although this state is very large in terms of its geographic size, only about 15 lakh tribal people call it home.

Democracy Warrior is the NGO under their flagship Save Wildlife Save Our Forest campaign that is running across the country these days. The activist is contacting all like-minded people e.g. activists, environmentalists, Writers, journalists, Social media influencer’s Political leaders from India.

There are too many rivers in this state, and NHPC and NTPC plan to generate hydroelectricity from them because our country needs electricity for development and industrial growth. However, the unplanned sanction of hydro projects given to Non-Experienced Dummy Companies is destroying the environment. They are informing them of this and asking these celebrities to come down in support.

These projects were approved by the Arunachal government about 10 to 15 years ago, but work on them has not yet been completed. For instance, even 25% of the Etalin Hydro project’s work has not been completed in the last 10 to 15 years because dummy companies that exist only on paper have sublet the contract to others. This unplanned activity causes the clearing of our forest, which is bad for our wildlife animals.

The development is not opposed, but the company contractors’ unauthorized and unnecessary tree-cutting is. A delegation from this NGO asked the Janata Party for support and for the party to take a position on their issues.

Janata Party is rapidly growing in Arunachal Pradesh that’s why the activist is seeking support from Navneet Chaturvedi, the President of the Janata Party.
