Shri Tapas Chatterjee ( Hounarable Member of Legislative Assembly )inaugurates Indian Classical Dance themed Durga Puja Pandal of “The Soul Newtown” in Kolkata.

With Durga Puja being around the corner, Honourable Member of Legislative Assembly Shri Tapas Chatterjee inaugurated a Durga Puja pandal of “The Soul (Newtown)“ in Kolkata on Thrusday . This unique pandal, organized by the Soul Cultural Committee, is modelled on the Indian Classical Dance by Ms.Sanjukta a resident of “The Soul” An impressive Bengali dance presentation on this praise of Mother Vandhasini commenced the grand Durga Puja ceremony which was inaugurated on Thrusday. The event is organized by a Soul Cultural Committee of residents from “THE SOUL“.

On the first day of the Five-day event, attractive performances were given by the artists of the dance stream Dancer Group. Further, the Chief Guest Shri Tapas Chatterjee (Honourable MLA ) along with Mr. Abhijit Das (President) Ajitava Bagchi (Secratary) Abhishek Kumar Singh, Moumita das , Arijita Saha , Sudipto Chakraborty of the Soul Cultural Commitee along with the residents lit the lamp in front of the statue of Lord Durga with ‘Jai Jai Hai Mahishasur Mardini …’ praising singing. On this auspeciuos day the residents of The Soul witnessed Durga Puja Theme song Composed & recorded by Ms Haimanti, Ms, Antara Mr. Anujit, Mr.Nirjhar and others.

Durga Mata’s court is decorated in a grand way. There are various types of events that attract people during this period. The exhibition here will give people an opportunity to shop for different types of handicrafts etc. This festival will get a unique mix of spirituality, music, entertainment and delicious Bengali cuisine. On this occasion Topovijay Dutta & Shiladitya Ganguly , Durga Puja Committee members and residents of The Soul, said, “Durga Puja is very important for us. During this time we forget all our sufferings and have a lot of fun and spend time with family and colleagues. We’ve been organizing durga puja celebrations in The soul for the 1st year. Festivals brings residents closer, it’s heartening to see the entire community coming together to celebrate all festivals with great enthusiasm. In the next four days, I will spend my maximum time here and will be happy with devotion.” Durga Puja celebration shows the coming season of festivals and it revives energy and positive atmosphere. In this ceremony, twice a day in the morning and evening, traditionally devoted mother Durga’s aarti will be done. Keeping Social responsibilty at utmost concern, The soul Cultural commitee in association with Indigenous Boutique had distributed 100 foods packets running a drive “ACT AGAINST HUNGER” Ms. Smiti & Ms Sutapa of Indigenous boutiqe said Indegenous Boutique Increasing generosity by practicing gratitude, shifting from scarcity to an abundance mindsets indentifying others need. Amidst the plethora of rituals and customs, one particular tradition stood out for its artistic brilliance and devotion – the magnificent alpona painting adorning the main gate of THE SOUL RESIDENTIAL SOCIETY. This remarkable initiative was undertaken by the resident of the soul.
